The Merlin Virtual Community Center ties all your other Merlin applications together under one community umbrella. With this module, users registering in one module (i.e. discussion forum) will be automatically recognized in other modules (i.e. ecommerce, photo gallery). Without this module, each other application has its own user database.
The Community Center gives you tools to support your user membership.

In the backoffice, you can maintain your user base with tools:
- View all members in an expandable tree structure.
- Add new members. Information that can be stored includes user id, user password, alias, name, address, phone, birthdate, gender, homepage, occupation, interests, question and answer for "forgot password", alternate name and address (used in ecommerce as shipping address).
- View, modify member profiles.
- Delete or suspend members.
- Upload member pictures.
- Send emails to your member base.

This public link provides a member list page with login/register
links. The administrator can control the access and style of this
page.
Options include:
- Public organization - members can register and login on the site.
- Private organization - members must be pre-registered by the
administrator. Login on the site.
- The general public can view restricted information about the
members.
- Logged in users can view full member profiles.
